General form of a sinusoidal (sine wave) function

$$x(t) = m + a \cdot sin(\omega t + \phi)$$ $$x(t) = m + a \cdot sin(2 \pi f t + \phi)$$

Where:

• $x(t)$: value of the function at time $t$
• $m$: mean value
• $a$: amplitude of the oscillation
• $\omega$: angular frequency (in radians per second), $\omega = 2\pi f$
• $f$: frequency in Hz (cycles per second)
• $\phi$: phase shift (in radians)
